Nishita Patel, D.D.S.
Dr. Nishita Patel has earned a reputation in Mount Dora as “the gentle dentist with small hands.” Dr. Patel is a general dentist but exceptional in ways that are very important to today’s patients. (1) She spends time getting to know her patients and understanding their health histories and oral health concerns. (2) She spends time explaining why conditions of the mouth have developed and how comfort, health, function, and beauty can be restored. (3) When her patient fully understands the WHY of treatment, she collaborates with the patient to develop a personal treatment plan that takes into consideration the patient’s preferences. (4) As with all Smile Design Dentistry dentists, she strives to make oral health care affordable and will do everything she can to help you meet your smile objectives.
Dr. Patel is originally from Gujarat, India where she received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) After two years of clinical practice in India, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) with honors from SUNY University at Buffalo, New York. After more than a decade of diagnosing and treating patients, her passion for dentistry and helping others has grown.
She is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a post-doctoral student of the Dawson Academy. She is diligent in her pursuit to stay current in providing the profession’s leading dental care procedures while delivering the highest level of dental care in a gentle, comfortable and compassionate manner. Among her developed areas of expertise are crown and bridge work, dentures, and cosmetic dentistry, including Invisalign® treatment.
Dr. Patel is a firm believer in preventive and conservative dentistry and works closely with her patients to develop a dental care plan to increase the longevity of her patient’s teeth. She loves the attention to detail required in dentistry and its mix of aesthetics and function. Her goal is to get her patients out of pain and have a healthy smile. “Developing relationships with my patients and getting know them is important to me,” says Dr. Patel. “I care a great deal more about my patients than their teeth. I genuinely care about my patients as whole and unique individuals.”
In her spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys reading, music and traveling. She is an outdoors enthusiast who loves everything from camping, hiking to skydiving.
