Paola Berríos Merced, DMD

Dr. Paola Berríos was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Dr. Berrios enjoyed competitive swimming which led her to receive an athletic scholarship for her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Biotechnology from the University of Puerto Rico. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico in both her bachelor degree and Doctorate in Dental Medicine. After doctorate school she completed a two-year residency in Advance Education in General Dentistry at NYU-Lutheran Medical Center. During her training she received advanced education in oral rehabilitation, implants (both surgical and restorative) and Invisalign. Dr. Berrios acknowledged at an early stage of her career the necessity of providing dental services to community sectors in need. This led her to perform voluntary work as a dentist in Colombia and Guatemala. She has also provided pro-bono treatment for veterans, incarcerated people and immigrants. Dr. Berrios is characterized by her empathy towards her patients. She focuses on providing good quality dental treatment while ensuring her patients feel comfortable in the dental setting. Dr. Berrios is fluent in Spanish and English and is currently learning Turkish. Outside of the office, Dr. Berrios enjoys spending time with friends and family.
