Schedule Your Family’s Checkups Now

Smile Design Dentistry dentists have expertise in the full range of oral health services you might need throughout all phases of your life. We’ve designed our services to make sure all family members have the care they need too. For example, in many of our locations we have visiting pediatric specialists. In other locations our general dentists see the children and teens of our adult patients.

Twice-yearly checkups should not be delayed. Checking on your oral health status every six months allows your dentist to find any brewing problems soon enough to minimize treatment. For example, dental decay and gum disease can start and advance over a period of only a few months.

“When a patient comes in for their checkup, we spend time talking about changes they may have noticed,” says Dr. Mili Patel, “and we compare the tracked depth of gum pockets, annual X-rays, intraoral photos, and other notes in the patient record to see if changes have occurred since the last visit.”

If you have noticed something at home in the mirror or felt a change in your mouth, we’ll discuss this and develop a plan with you to solve any developing issues. For example, you may observe:

  • A change in your bite
  • Tooth sensitivity or pain
  • Gum tissue redness, puffiness or bleeding
  • Yellowing or graying of your teeth

Now is the perfect time to schedule summer dental cleanings and checkups for the entire family. Call for an appointment so your six-month preventive care is taken care of during the long school break and accommodates your summer vacations. If you are a parent with children, ask yourself if you have been neglecting your own oral health needs while being consumed with the care of your kids’ needs. We know you are busy, so we will do all we can to help you schedule a time that is best for you. We carefully schedule patients so they can be seen promptly.

We ALWAYS do our best to help you maintain healthy, strong teeth for your lifetime. We welcome you to call Smile Design Dentistry today!
